No one knows what it takes to be a caregiver
better than another caregiver!
A senior’s primary caregiver starts a solitary journey with little preparation, little help, little understanding, little appreciation, on call 24 hours a day with self-sacrifice at a risk they are not aware of when they first begin their caring journey.
The role can be personally satisfying and fulfilling and also, challenging and stressful.
The Oasis is a safe, trusting and confidential place and community to connect with other caregivers and friends, who understand the challenges of caregiving.
Emotional and spiritual needs can be met by meeting and sharing with other caregivers in similar circumstances and exchange information and resources. The OASIS gives you a personal caring community that understands and supports one another!
This is often the only OASIS and sanctuary in the Caregiver’s life.
The Benefits of the Oasis Support Group
“I don’t know how I could ever have survived without the support of the group..”
You can speak openly, honestly, and safely
about your feelings, situational issues, and family dynamics,
without judgment;
and
receive empathy and understanding
that will give you comfort, strength and support and
develop stronger confidence and resilience.
It’s a place you can be yourself with other caregivers.
